Description
The Earth Wants You Back - hand made, paper bound notebooks were made in Glasgow using collected recycled paper and a japanese style bind. Some pages might have interesting stories in between the the inner folds if you take a look.

Notebooks so far have been used as sketchbooks, campaign planners, diaries, as diving log books, in sustainable fisheries meetings. Please do let me know what you used it for.
It’s also my intention that these notebooks should be 100% compostable and I’m currently undertaking an experiment to see if one of the notebooks will biodegrade in my home compost.
The Earth Wants you Back is a creative project focusing on handcrafted long process upcycling and zero waste themed designs made in Glasgow by Danielle Banks.
* I studied illustration at art school in Dundee* My family lives, in a very carbon guzzling way, between the UK, France, Singapore and Australia!* I’ve worked in arts, community and environmental charities for the last 3 years.* Many of my craft skills were taught to me at a basic level by my mother who practises willow weaving, sewing, natural dying, knitting, felting, spinning and carding.* I also volunteer for Greenpeace! My favourite campaign of theirs is the oceans campaign.* I feel like the term Zero Waste is quite scary and difficult and pushes many away. I say ‘zero waste inspired’ because I think reducing our waste and carbon footprint should be in cycles and doesn’t need to be perfect.* I started making zero waste inspired products after planning a zero waste cafe and looking through my waste to see what I was throwing away - many many cotton rounds at that time. So I created my own washable ones.
