Hello, My name is Tina and I am the owner of byGoldenberry.

Zero waste has become a massive part of my life and for me it’s not just about reducing plastic, reusing and recycling. It was also very much about where things come from, the manufacturing and the processing of the raw materials being used and how their cultivation impacts our environment.

I came across hemp yarn when I went in search of a low impact washing up sponge and I couldn’t find an alternative to the standard that I was truly happy with. I decided to make my own using 100% hemp yarn and I would never go back.

Why hemp? It is naturally organic, antibacterial, washable and 100% home compostable. It needs no pesticides to grow and requires a lot less water than cotton. It absorbs 4 x more carbon dioxide than trees during its 12-14 week lifecycle and finally and most importantly, its cultivation regenerates the soil.

Let’s work together to look after our planet! If you have any questions about anything in my shop just ask. :)
